The Tyra Banks effect has landed in Africa. Finally! Africa's Next Top Model is the newest creation from the America's Next Top Model franchise which already spans across 3 continents and 35 countries.

The first season of #ANTM will be filmed in Cape Town, South Africa with scouting happening in eight selected countries around the continent.

 "The following are the lucky states that will be in the running to become America's Africa's next top model," Tyra voice.


Mozambique, where scouting starts on the 6th of July
South Africa, 9th July
Kenya, 13th July
Ghana, 20th
Nigeria, 23rd
Angola, 28th
and Sierra Leone.
12 lucky beauties will be selected to be crowned the next African supermodel over a span of 8 weeks in 10 episodes, produced by SA Idol's Gavin Wratten. The show will be hosted by runway model Oluchi Onweagba, who has covered Vogue, i-D, Pop, ELLE, Untold and Surface magazines. She's also been featured in many other magazines including international versions of Vogue and Nylon. She's done major campaigns with A-List designers like Gianfranco Ferre and Ann Taylor and also graced the Victoria's Secret runway for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Apart from Vicki's Secret, other runways that she has walked in include Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Chanel, John Galliano, Costume National and more in the fashion capitals of the world: New York, Milan, Paris, London and Tokyo.
