The Google Nexus phone made it's glorious debut as the Google stock Android OS carrying flagship in January 2010. Manufactured by HTC, this was the most hyped phone at the time. It was releases with Android Eclair, and later updated to FroYo and Gingerbread. However the model did not have a good enough GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), needed to run the graphics intense Ice Cream Sandwich. It however had killer specs that would put any phone back then to shame, with the 3.7" screen, which was really big bin 2010, 480 x 800 pixels in the large screen, and a gorgeous pixel density of ~252 ppi, which is even better than most 2014 Droid. It had a 1GHz clocked CPU, and 512MB RAM which was sufficiently enough to run Android Eclair, FroYo and Gingerbread. It spotted a 5MP camera and no secondary one.

The second generation Nexus device dubbed the Samsung Google Nexus S was a beast compared to it's predecessor. It was released in December 2010 to coincide with Google's release of Android Gingerbread in 2011. This model had good enough GPU to run Ice Cream Sandwich, hence the official update. The following are some of it's main specs: A 480 x 800 pixels 4.0" screen with 233 ppi pixel density. Sansung's very own AMOLED Screen technology to enhance the black and whites on the screen making it gorgeously visible even under sunlight. It spotted 16 Gigs of internal storage, 512 MB RAM and a 1GHz processor. It fell back to the HTC Nexus One in terms of pixel density, but came on top in terms of performance and aesthetics.

The Galaxy Nexus, which was also co-manufactured  by Google and Samsung was released in November 2011, to coincide with the Android ICS release, spotting major upgrades in the spec department. It had a gorgeous and huge super AMOLED 720 x 1280 pixels, 4.65" screen with 316 ppi pixel density. It had 16 GB of internal, non-extendable memory. A fast dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM, that was powerful enough to run Android ICS buttery smooth. It spotted a 1750 mAh battery that was enough to keep it running for at least a day. It later got an update to Android Jelly Bean.

The 2012 generation Nexus beat out all the others. Co-manufactured by Google and LG, this device not only spotted killer specs but is also one of the most beautifully constructed mobile phones to date. It spots a huge HD 4.7" screen with 768 x 1280 pixels, and a 318 ppi pixel density. It also spots a full glass back with LG's crystal reflection innovation that makes it sparkle beautifully in the sunlight. It has both an 8 and 16GB model, both with an impossibly huge 2GB RAM and 1.5GHz Quad-Core processor. You can be certain that this monster will never lag. It spots an 8MP Primary camera that shoots full HD videos and a 1.3 MP Secondary camera. It was released with stock Jelly Bean on-board and it will for sure be the   first Droid to get an update to Android Key Lime Pie.
